The Travel Bug
Since being infected by the travel bug in my native New Zealand, this appalling
and incurable affliction has dragged me kicking and screaming to exotic places like
Australia, Belize, Brunei, Cambodia, Canada, Costa Rica, the Czech Republic, Egypt, Guatemala,
Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Mexico, the Philippines, Russia, Singapore, the Solomon Islands,
Thailand, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, the United Kingdom, the United States, Vanuatu and
Vietnam.
Will my torment never end?

My Excellent American Adventure
After moving from New Zealand to the United States in 1997, I've spent time in
some of America's most interesting cities - San Diego, Washington DC, Chicago, New
York and San Francisco, and seen the diversity of many of its states, like the tropical
scenery of Hawaii, the desert landscapes of Nevada and California, and the
freezing depths of winter in Illinois.
I've also enjoyed many aspects of America's culture, and have tried
my best to learn how to speak English in a way which can be understood!

Aviation
Over the years I've had press passes to photograph military and civilian
aircraft around the world, including historic and modern warbirds, and even NASA equipment
like the space shuttle. This takes me into military airbases and places most
people never see, like the control towers at Edwards Air Force Base in the USA and the once
top-secret Zhukovsky Airfield in Russia.
I've also visited many aircraft museums around the world. Here you can
find some of the most extraordinary aircraft in the world - the
world's great historic aircraft, as well as experimental aircraft and monstrous
failures.

Life on Earth
The world is full of beautiful, bizarre and just plain interesting wildlife! Whether
they're birds, bugs, mammals, reptiles or even denizens of the underwater world, I love to
photograph these remarkable fellow inhabitants of our planet in their natural habitats.
Jungles, deserts and coral reefs are exciting enough during the daytime, but at night a whole
new parade of creatures comes out of hiding. For
many years now I've explored for hours at a time with flashlight and camera in hand
to capture these animals for posterity. Many people find the thought of being
in the ocean or the jungle in the darkness terrifying, but it's my idea of night life!
